Stripping the Healey
I am taking the car down to a rolling chassis for bodywork,
and have been taking may pictures so I can reference them for putting it back
together. MANY, MANY pictures if you are interested. This will take
a long time to load if you are on dialup.

Valve Cover Stuff
Here is what I found when I pulled the valve
cover...

Here is the valve cover that came with the car.

Here is the closeup of the plate brazed into the valve cover. Is this original? Can the dents be the rockers hitting the plate?
Great pictures of what a rocker shaft that needs rebuilding looks like.

A closer picture of a mini-gusher. Well, I am in Texas. Notice the inherent beauty of the oil seemingly floating in the air.

Here is my alloy valve cover that I picked up for cheap.

Closeup of the chip.
Small chips on one side of the cover..
Inside lip of the chip. I think that it is OK, since the sealing surface is fine. If not, I can fill the spot with JB Weld.
